Al Jabal Agriculture Secures Six-Figure Investment to Expand Smart Farming Solutions Across Iraq

Al Jabal Agriculture, one of the leading startups supported through Orange Corners Baghdad and the Orange Corners Innovation Fund (OCIF) Iraq, has successfully secured a six-figure investment from Iraqi investors and strategic business partners to accelerate the company’s expansion in the agricultural technology sector.

Founded in late 2022 by Iraqi entrepreneur and remote sensing specialist Mohammed Nabeel Al-Ruwaishdi, Al Jabal Agriculture is transforming how agricultural operations are managed in Iraq through satellite monitoring, GIS technologies, artificial intelligence, and advanced agricultural analytics.

The company provides integrated smart farming services that help farmers and agricultural businesses improve productivity, reduce waste, and make more accurate data-driven decisions throughout the farming cycle.

Today, Al Jabal Agriculture manages and monitors thousands of dunams across Iraq using technology-driven agricultural systems, with plans to exceed 100,000 dunams under management during the coming year. The company’s solutions have already contributed to increasing productivity for several clients by more than 25%, while helping reduce unnecessary agricultural spending and resource waste valued at more than IQD 600 million.

The newly secured investment will support the expansion of the company’s technical infrastructure, development of AI-powered agricultural systems, and growth of operations across additional farming regions in Iraq.

“Our journey was built through years of experimentation, challenges, and learning. Orange Corners Baghdad and OCIF played an important role in helping us organize our growth strategy and prepare for investment discussions. This funding will help us scale our smart farming solutions and expand our impact across Iraq’s agricultural sector,” said Mohammed Nabeel Al-Ruwaishdi, Founder and CEO of Al Jabal Agriculture.

Al Jabal Agriculture participated in Orange Corners Baghdad Cohort 10 and is currently among the Top 4 startups in Track 2 of OCIF Iraq, a growth and investment readiness program implemented by Iraq Venture Partners (IVP).

“Al Jabal Agriculture demonstrates how Iraqi startups can combine deep sector expertise with technology to solve real market challenges,” said Hady El Samra, Head of Investments & Programs at Iraq Venture Partners. “The company’s growth and ability to attract private investment reflects both the strength of its execution and the increasing maturity of Iraq’s startup ecosystem.”

This latest investment milestone further demonstrates the growing ability of Iraqi startups to attract private capital and scale innovative solutions. Al Jabal Agriculture joins a growing number of Orange Corners and OCIF-supported startups that have successfully secured follow-on funding to expand their businesses and increase their impact across Iraq.
